Cote d’ Ivoire, West Africa

In January 2004, the Shueys traveled to Cote d’ Ivoire, West Africa to participate in the beginning of that nation’s College of Prayer. The event began with two Prayer Summits in Abidjan and San Pedro. A Prayer Summit is a time set aside to seek the Lord with no attached agenda. The Lord sets the agenda as the leaders follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. Both Prayer Summits went beyond expectations. During both, deep repentance came over the delegates, both for corporate sins of the Church of Cote d’ Ivoire and for individual sins. During both, intense intercessory prayer followed.God did some amazing works for individuals at the San Pedro Prayer Summit. Many people experienced physical healing. One woman with a painful rash all over her body had been invited to the Prayer Summit while waiting to get a prescription filled at a pharmacy. She came to the Summit and received Jesus as her Savior. They then prayed for her healing. She came back the next morning completely healed.

A large number of delegates also received personal deliverance. The time ended with delegates praying for all the tribes in the nation. This was a major breakthrough especially in light of the war that has been continuing in this nation
